The Kansas City Chiefs are your new Super Bowl champions. Though unlike what was promised by your favorite influencers, Travis Kelce didn’t propose to anyone and no one endorsed Joe Biden. Weird, right? Among the celebrities in attendance, there was another guest of honor. Nine-year-old Chiefs fan Holden Armenta. The kid Deadspin attempted to smear as a raaaaaaacist.
To recap, young Holden Armenta went to a football game. Not unlike how a Buffalo Bills fan would paint their face blue and red, Holden had his team’s colors painted on his face: red and black. Deadspin writer Karen J. Phillips only saw the black and DEMANDED the NFL answer to this little kid’s alleged racism. Then when he realized he f*cked up, denied that he f*cked up and doubled down on the RAAAAACISM instead. Also, turns out the kid is Native American.
After all Holden went through, the Native American Guardians Association — a non-profit advocating for increased education about Native Americans — wanted to make sure he got to see his favorite team in the Super Bowl. They raised over twenty-two thousand dollars to make sure it happened.
It’s a big week for the Armenta family. They also filed a lawsuit against Deadspin for attempting to destroy their nine-year-old’s life.
“By selectively capturing from the CBS broadcast an image of H.A. showing only the one side of his face with black paint on it — an effort that took laser-focused precision to accomplish given how quickly the boy appeared on screen: Phillips and Deadspin deliberately omitted the half of H.A.’s face with red paint on it.
“Death threats (“I’m going to kill [H.A.] with a wood chipper”) and insults (calling H.A. a “p-ssy,” a “mother f-cker,” and a “n-gg-r”). They have made Raul a pariah at work, forcing the family to consider moving out of state. And they have branded a nine-year-old child with false allegations that will live forever online. H.A. has already suffered significantly—his test scores and grades have dropped in school, and he has shown emotional damage from the onslaught of negative attention.”
The family went on to blast Deadspin and blogger Karen J. Phillips for “viciously race-baiting” their son to “generate clicks.”
I hope the Armenta winds up owning Deadspin and turns it into Holden’s personal blog where he plays video games or does unboxing videos and stuff. It’s become way too easy for woke twats to recklessly accuse you of racism without any fear of repercussions. You have your life destroyed with no way to clear your name. They get the clicks revenue because there is nothing more lucrative on the Left than inventing new wats to accuse people of -isms and -phobias.
The Armenta family needs to own Deadspin. Holden needs to ask to speak to a manager when he runs into Karen J. Philips working his new job at McDonald’s.
